Serves: 4
INGREDIENTS
– 4 Dannyβs Mini Pitas
– 500 grams lean ground beef
– Β½ cup plain low-fat yoghurt
– β
cup cucumber chopped
– 2 tspns pepper herb mix
– ΒΌ tspn salt
– 1 medium tomato cut into 8 thin slices
– 4 lettuce leaves
PEPPER HERB MIX
– 2 tblspns basil leaves diced
– 1 tbsp lemon pepper
– 1 tbsp onion powder (can substitute for one small grated/finely chopped fresh onion)
– 1Β½ tspns sugar
INSTRUCTIONS
Combine yoghurt, cucumber, Β½ tsp herb mix and salt in a small bowl, reserve.
Shape ground beef into four 1 Β½ cm thick patties. Sprinkle remaining 1 Β½ tsp herb mix over both sides of patties.
Heat large non-stick skillet over medium heat for 5 minutes.
Place patties in skillet and cook 6β8 minutes, turning once. Season with salt, if desired.
To serve, place a burger in each Dannyβs pita half (split it open), add 2 tomato slices, a lettuce leaf and several dollops of yoghurt.
