I love it that they are high in fiber and low-GI, so I know I’ll have longer lasting energy from my breakfast (perfect for me as I’m always on the go between studying, working and running after my 10-month-old girl so I need all the energy help I can get!).
Harraways has just released their new Steel Cut Oats which are coarser in texture and cook in just three minutes, providing a hearty breakfast that’s quick and easy to make. Even better, there’s three flavours – Original, Apple and Honey (my fave), and Brown Sugar, Sultana and Cinnamon.
What are steel cut oats?
They are oat groats cut into smaller pieces, whereas your more traditional oats are rolled, leaving flakes. Steel cut oats are less processed and provide a textured porridge whilst retaining a wholesome and nutty flavour.
Harraways Steel Cut Oats are packaged in resealable bags (500g, RRP $4.49) and also available in singles (RRP $4.49) from supermarkets nationwide.
